A whole professional life at trinidat

The IT industry is battling high turnover and skilled labor shortages. Globally, tenure at IT companies is just over four years. Not so with us: with an average tenure of almost seven years, trinidat stands out strongly from the industry average. And even in the Corona years, when many employees were much more willing to change jobs, trinidat not only had a very low turnover of skilled workers, but also a whole series of long-standing employees who are happy to continue their careers with us.
A great example of the loyalty of our developers is Sebastian. As the company’s longest-standing employee, he has been with trinidat for almost his entire professional life since October 2004. He started as an intern for a 5-month practical semester during his studies of technical computer science at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld. After the internship semester, he continued as a freelancer alongside his studies. After passing his diploma, trinidat seamlessly took Sebastian on as a permanent employee in September 2006. For 13 years Sebastian has been working as a team leader with us in Düsseldorf.
“Individual software is exactly my thing”.
Why has Sebastian been with us for so long? For him, the reasons are obvious. “The development of individual software is exactly my thing. Getting to know a completely new business area with corresponding requirements every 9-12 months and doing something completely different instead of working on the same software for years.” He also appreciates the flat hierarchies and the trust of the management at trinidat.
Incidentally, at trinidat, despite strong growth in recent years and now more than 50 employees, a core of around 15 colleagues has remained on board for many years. “This ensures consistency, trust and mutual support among the employees,” Sebastian is pleased to say.
